Brunton Boatyard, Cochin: This restored period building that is our hotel sits well with its colonial era surroundings and counterparts - the great trading houses of British India when pepper from Kerala was considered as precious as gold. Like the cultures they celebrate and display, Brunton Boatyard is a five star hotel whose interiors reflect an eclectic but tasteful blend of English, Portuguese and Dutch influences as seen in its high ceilings, hanging fans and a plethora of artifacts and curios from a great mercantile age known for its pomp and glamour. The scent of colonial history is all around you as you take a tour of the historic Fort Cochin area where the hotel stands. Though little remains of the fort itself there are legacies of its proud history to be seen everywhere.

Morning after breakfast half day city tour of Cochin covering The Dutch Palace "Mattancherry Palace", located in Palace Road and built by the Portuguese as early as 1557, is considered to be one of the important places to visit in Cochin. Popularly known as Dutch Palace, it has the style and architecture that resembles a typical traditional Kerala house with four individual wings and a patio in between. Visit Jewish Synagogue Built in 1568, Paradesi synagogue or the Jewish synagogue is the oldest one amongst all commonwealth countries. Jewish synagogue is located in Jew Town area of Cochin and was built by Cochin Jewish group or Malabar Yehudan people. Visit St. Francis Church originally built in 1503, is the oldest European church in India and has great historical significance as a mute witness to the European colonial struggle in the subcontinent. The Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama died in Kochi in 1524 when he was on his third visit to India. Visit Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica is one of the eight Basilicas in Kerala. Counted as one of the heritage edifices of Kerala, this church is one of the finest and most impressive churches in India and visited by tourists the whole year round. Also visit the Chinese Fishing nets. Later in the afternoon enjoy the Kathakali dance cultural show. Stay overnight at hotel in Cochin.

Morning after breakfast travel to Munnar. Munnar is a town in the Western Ghats mountain range. A hill station and former resort for the British Raj elite, it's surrounded by rolling hills dotted with tea plantations established in the late 19th century. Home to the Lakkam Waterfalls, hiking trails and 2,695m-tall Anamudi Peak. On arrival check-in at hotel. Later enjoy the walking tour of Tea Gardens along with Tea museum visit. From the early history of Tea Plantation to how British brought Tea culture and cultivation in the region, the toil and hard work of the people who endured during those days, the machineries and tools, the entire process of cultivating, plucking, drying and final packaging of Tea; almost everything you learn in just a half an hour documentary that is played here. Stay overnight at hotel in Munnar.

Windermere Estate, Munnar: Everything at the Windermere Estate is geared towards a different time, a different pace – inspired by the magic of plantation life. The property is intimate, with just 18 lovingly handcrafted rooms arranged around the original Planter's Bungalow which still serves as the owner's residence. We've embraced our little cliff, building around the existing rock formations and trees to create a space that's refreshingly close to nature.

The air here is crisp and clean, the temperature pleasant and the views spectacular. The breeze carries the aroma of coffee, cardamom and tea. We suggest rambling walks around the plantation and the surrounding tea gardens, a dip in the pool with the best view in the world, or cozying up with a book in the quiet library. The exclusive restaurant serves thoughtfully personalized, locally sourced cuisine, and guests often gather in the gazebo for coffee and a snack or under the estate's famous boulder for a barbecue and bonfire. At the Windermere Estate, you can expect old-world minimalism over embellishment, and smiles that come straight from the heart.

Morning after breakfast visit Mattupetty Dam is a famous holiday spot for tourists. This beautiful hill station is hemmed in by Anamudi Peak covered with undulating slopes of tea gardens with an emerald lake in the middle. Munnar is also famous for several waterfalls, visit one of the waterfalls near to the town. Later travel to Periyar. Periyar with its cool chimes and agreeable greenery has a wide zone for travellers to chill out. This pride destination in southern India is boosted with serene surroundings and startling sights and the reason to visit Periyar are for its wildlife scene. Periyar National Park is set high in the mountains and sprawls over the Western Ghats. This National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area located on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border and here, you can feel the presence of serenity and excitement amidst the wilderness. On arrival check-in at hotel. Stay overnight at hotel in Periyar.

Spice Village, Periyar: Spice village for us is a work of nature as much as it is a lofty expression of the imagination. We conceived the resort as a village and approached its building the way you would a village - with local materials, native artisans, mountain spirit and traditional wisdom in its creation. Though traditional in its conception, this is a 'village' that offers you all the comforts of a city minus the noise, pollution and other urban ills that you can do without. Our interaction with the ecology of these hills is symbiotic, influenced by the native people of these parts who have lived in harmony with their surroundings for generations. They taught us about self-sustaining systems and also steward our organic gardens that put fresh vegetables, fruits and spices on your tables every day.

Early morning enjoys the shared boat ride at Periyar lake, clubbed inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Two-hour boating trips at the artificial lake formed near the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary. One can see herds of elephants grazing near the edges of the shoreline. Deer, sambar, gaur and wild boars can be seen flocking around the place at regular intervals. A majority of the wildlife activity in the area can be viewed during the summer months of March and April. Darters, egrets and kingfishers can be seen flocking around the withered trees that rise out of the lake.

After visit return back to hotel for breakfast. Later in the afternoon enjoy the Spice Plantation Tour. The winding pathways among the plantations, the thing that strikes you first is the lingering aroma in the air. The scent may be of cloves, nutmeg, pepper, cinnamon or cardamom and sometimes a fragrance that combines the scents of two or more spices. The geographical and climatic peculiarities of Kumily such as the cool climate and its elevation from the sea level make it ideal for spice cultivation. Stay overnight at hotel in Periyar.

Morning after breakfast travel to travel to Alleppey or Alappuzha, is often referred to as the Venice of the East by travelers, and rightly so. It is the hub of Kerala's backwaters, home to a vast network of waterways and more than a thousand houseboats. On arrival board your houseboat to explore the backwaters of Kerala. Kerala Houseboat Cruising along the backwaters of Kerala is an unforgettable experience. If you have not experienced it, here is a golden opportunity to do it at a fraction of its original cost. You could get in any House Boat of your liking, saunter down the cool placid waters of our world-famous backwaters, have a merry time and get back home either the same day or after spending a night as well out floating around. Overnight stay on Houseboat.

Spice Coast Cruise, Alleppey: We took these old boats, called Kettuvalloms, and went to work on them as would a craftsman. With some imaginative tweaks to these vessels, we converted them into stately floating homes to cruise the placid waters of the vast and captivating Vembanad lake. Made from natural materials, these spice boats are powered with solar energy and vegetable oils to reduce their impact upon the lake. The crew of these boats are simple fisherfolk, men who know these waters from their early years. However, they do more than just pilot these behemoths, alternating between navigating the waterways, preparing meals for the guests onboard and generally keeping things 'shipshape'. Their smiling faces speak of a culture that is famed for its accommodating and amiable ways. This is indeed spontaneous hospitality, or what we term 'hospitality from the heart', a common CGH Earth feature.

Morning after breakfast de-board the houseboat and travel to Kovalam. Kovalam is a small coastal town in the southern India. At the southern end of Lighthouse Beach is a striped lighthouse with a viewing platform. Palm-backed beaches also include Hawa Beach and Samudra Beach. Heading south, Vizhinjam Juma Masjid mosque overlooks the busy fishing harbor. Inland, Sagarika Marine Research Aquarium displays technology used in pearl production. On arrival check-in at hotel. Rest of the day at your leisure. Stay overnight at resort in Kovalam.

Taj Green Cove Resort & Spa, Kovalam: The 16 acre Taj Green Cove has a kilometer of coastline, Balinese style villas nestled on a hillock overlooking the Ocean with a lagoon in between. Ayurveda and Jiva spa lead by a Naturopathy Doctor. Wellness Spa therapies as well as A holistic Wellness Routine is crafted on request by our Wellness Doctor. The Sea view villas & amp; suites, exclusive Pool Villas as well as Tropical Garden view rooms are all architected in a Balinese Style with exquisite wooden furnishing, 24 hour in-room dining. All Villas have been particularly designed to blend into the tropical gardens around, the bathrooms embodying a unique stone sculpture garden.

Sprawling lawns and wooden walkways along the coastline, jogging trails allow guests to run along different terrains, down the hillock from their rooms, along the lagoon and seaside. Sunsets are photographed along with high tea and typical Kerala snacks hosted by the Taj Green Cove every evening.
